Registering in Advance

You may pre-register to vote at any time at least 20 days before an election. You may register to vote by doing one of the following:

• Complete an online Voter Registration Application at the Minnesota Secretary of State website
• Complete a Voter Registration Application (PDF) at the Hennepin County Elections website; print, sign and mail to Hennepin County Voter Registration Office at:

  300 S 6th Street
  Minneapolis, MN, 55487-0012
• Register in person at the City of Hopkins or at Hennepin County Election Office
• If English is not your first language, visit the Secretary of State’s website for voter registration applications in Hmong, Spanish, Somali, Russian and Vietnamese
